Syed S. Kaiser Kabir replaces Dr.
Sarwar Ali as Managing Director of Renata Limited. Dr. Sarwar Ali,
who successfully led the Company since 1995 will retire on January
28, 2002 upon reaching 60 years of age. Mr. Kabir is currently
Managing Director of BRAC-Renata Agro Industries Limited. He shall
be holding the position of Managing Director at both companies. In
accordance with Company Law, EGM's were held at the two companies to
formalise his new appointment. Born on February 15, 1963, Mr. Kabir
initially trained as an economist. He earned the degree of MPhil. in
Economics from Oxford University, UK. He also holds a BA degree in
Economics and International relations from Claremont McKenna College
, USA. Mr. Kabir has been an active board member of Renata Limited
since 1997. He held a pivotal role in propelling Renata's Animal
Health business
into market leadership position.
