Corporate Social Responsibility

To Renata, corporate social responsibility (CSR) means caring for our employees, assisting disadvantaged members of our society, and building a sustainable environment. The details of our fledgling programme are as follows:

Healthcare for Employees and their Families:

The Renata health program covers all permanent employees, their spouses, and children. This comprehensive program includes surgery, hospitalisation, as well as routine doctor visits.

Orcef for Dr. Razib

Dr. Al-Razib Humayun Kamal, a young and talented neurosurgeon working at NITOR has been diagnosed Rhabdomyosarcoma. To help him in his long battle against this very serious form of cancer, During 2007 Renata launched Orcef for Dr. Razib programme, where 5% of the net sales proceeds of Orcef (Cefixime) go towards paying for his treatment. This programme is extend in 2008. We wish Dr. Razib a full recovery.

Scholarship for Meritorious Students

HOPES (Helping Organisation for Promising and Energetic Students) runs a scholarship programme for meritorious students. Renata Limited sponsored students for studying Medicine under the aegis of this programme.

A Productive Life for Special People:

Renata has a programme for employing persons with physical and intellectual limitations. Under this programme 16 persons have been employed in the packaging line for animal health products.

City Beautification:

Under the aegis of the Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and Industries (MCCI) Renata contributes to an island beautification project stretching from the Farmgate to the Prime Minister’s office.
