Four New Manufacturing Facilities Commissioned in 2006

Four new plants were commissioned in 2006. These are

(1)   Potent Product Facility: A dedicated tablet facility for hormones and cytotoxic products. Product commenced earlier in 2006. Several of our hormone products are now market leaders.

(2)   Sachet Filling Facility: The existing facility was modernised and expanded in the last quarter of 2006. This facility was designed to produce ORS, Sprinkles, and a small range of antibiotic formulations.

(3)   Taste-Masking: Essentially constructed to taste-mask cephalosporin and macrolide bulk. Products expected by second half of 2007.

(4)   Lyophilisation: This brand new facility will initially produce lyophilised proton-pump-inhibitors (PPIs). After evaluating market response to this new kind of formulation, the facility will be expanded to accommodate a wide-range of products.
